About Me

Short intro

An avid player since childhood and journalist at heart, now working in games marketing to pass on my passion for this medium to others. I develop my professional activity in Spain, concretely from the beautiful city of Elche (Alicante).

I enjoy streaming beat ’em up, roleplaying and text-based adventures on Twitch for my small ES community — I’m a big fan of the Yakuza series and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona. These days, we’re enjoying Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth and preparing for the spooky season with some cool psychological horror games. October is gonna be a frightening month, stay tuned!

Best highlights

For the last 7 years, I’ve focused my career on game marketing & PR for indie projects. Occasionally, thanks to my current position at Jaleo PR, I also had the chance to work for AA studios and publishing companies. A lot has happened since then, but I still smile to think that we left our mark on the mighty Dyson Sphere Program, a sci-fi construction game by Youthcat Studio and Gamera Game.

From its Kickstarter campaign to the first months in Early Access, we were in charge of its campaign structure, the updates for backers, social media strategy, teaser editing and PR work. Since it’s my area of expertise, I personally took care of all things related to social media management on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit and Discord. My journey with Dyson was a once in a lifetime experience, for sure.

Overall, working with Chinese publishers and game studios changed me personally and profesionally. I’ll never forget how The Rewinder (Misty Mountain Studio), Amazing Cultivation Simulator (GSQ Games) and Immortal Life (YiFang Studio) opened up the world of Taoist fantasy to me. I’ve been obsessed with Chinese culture and Mo Xiang Tong Xiu’s novels ever since!

This year I also got involved in a five-days long live event at Gamescom 2024 (August 21-25, Cologne). Together with Games From Spain, a public initiative to promote Spanish companies in the game industry abroad, I managed several aspects of their first-ever stage in Hall 10.2 (E039). This job involved proposing and coordinating activities, supervising the shows and assisting the technical team during livestreams.

You can watch all the activities here. It’d be great if you checked the one below first. This is the most important debate I’ve moderated to date and, frankly, I had a great time chatting with The Game Kitchen, Vermila Studios and Bowl of Tentacles.

What's next?

Anime and otome games have been an important part of my life since I can remember. So in my spare time, I’m conducting my own research on visual novels. In addition to playing both classic titles and new releases, I actively study their market performance and marketing strategy (social media, Steam, ads, etc). Such valuable knowledge, added to my professional background, will allow me to work more effectively with indie dev teams that specialize in this sub-genre of text-based adventures.

The visual novels I have worked on so far:

  • Chromatic Memories: Cozy / Spanish folklore. Pre-release and release paid campaign on Meta and TikTok.
  • Chrono Jotter: Yuri / Psychological horror. Steam page editing (EN) and promotion from 2P Games’ social profiles.
  • [Cancelled] One Spirit: Alternate post-WWII Europe / Coming-of-age drama. Steam page, social media strategy, teaser scripting and editing, and Kickstarter campaign management.

Among my favorite games are some like Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (07th Expansion), Raging Loop (Kemco), the Ace Attorney series and… well, I’ll always defend that the Persona series falls into this category. I dream of working on a project similar to one of these, either as a marketing specialist, publisher… or developer!
